What is my purpose?

01. Organisational analysis

Your organisation will be analysed to improve the engineering process. We will examine your current engineering processes and the roles and responsibilities of people within your organisation. This analysis, and the ambition you have set, will then be used to make recommendations for improvements.

Make an appointment
  • Assessing business processes
  • Analysis targeting-organisation-execution
  • Need-desire-ability-courage for analysis
  • Defining ambitions and goals
  • Defining organisational process flow engineering
  • Roles, interests and responsibilities

How are things at present and how can they be improved?

02. Technical analysis

During the technical analysis, Yellax will examine your technical information flows, documents, electrical diagrams, software, etc. This will be done at discipline and multidisciplinary level. Based on this analysis, and the ambition you have set for standardisation, Yellax will make recommendations about how and where technical changes can be made and what benefits they will have on your organisation or department.

Make an appointment
  • Analysis of software
  • Analysis of electrical diagrams
  • Analysis of documents in engineering process
  • Analysis of tag/coding structure
  • Analysis of technical item management
  • Analysis of information flows
  • Registration of technical principles
  • Recommendations about standardising components

What can be registered modularly?

03. Standardise

In many cases, standardisation will help you to achieve the objectives you have set. Standardisation can take place on a multidisciplinary basis or per discipline. During this phase, your electrical diagrams, software, HMI/SCADA and other documents will be structured and constructed intelligently, so that they can be reused uniformly and can be automated at a later stage. Consideration is also given to generic names and configuration management. Information flows are organised efficiently, taking into account all stakeholders.

Make an appointment
  • Defining structures
  • Registering names
  • Capturing electro-technical typicals
  • Capturing software typicals
  • Structuring schemes (functional versus traditional)
  • Structuring software (S88, PackML, etc.)
  • Capturing documents and reports
  • Describing products and/or functions
  • Introducing and implementing new workflow

How will we safeguard the standard?

04. Automate

During the automation process, objects will be registered in an engineering application, like e.g. Typical Manager, so they can generate automatically. Configurations, structures, names, tag structure, I/O and typicals are registered, thus safeguarding your standard and knowledge.

Make an appointment
  • Securing knowledge and standards
  • Setting up a library
  • Defining product configurations
  • Automating the engineering process
  • Enabling generative designs
  • Coordinating information flows

How do I use the standard in projects?

05. Configure projects

If your standard is automated, it is possible to configure your project based on products and functions registered in the library. The configuration can be used to perform data engineering. This step also makes it possible to automatically generate your technical project documentation.

Make an appointment
  • Configuring
  • Collecting project data
  • Generating electrical plans
  • Generating PLC and SCADA software
  • Generating documents (including FAT / SAT)
  • Generating reports for management & maintenance

What are the customer-specific issues?

06. Complete the project

After the generation process, technical project documents will be prepared for production together with one or more engineers. The customer-specific issues of your customers will be added to the project. During this phase, project evaluation is important so better results can be realised via continuous process and quality improvements.

Make an appointment
  • Adding project or customer specific issues
  • Completing engineering project
  • Preparing project output “for production”
  • Measuring quality and giving feedback to the standardisation team
  • Evaluation
